Nude photography, Commercial nude photography ... ?
There are many types of nude photography named in many different ways: glamour nude, artistic nude etc. But all these classifications seems to be relative.
One photo can be glamour nude and at the same time evoke aesthetic feelings. Another can be artistic nude or boudoir and evoke sexual arousal.
"Nude photography is a style of art photography which wants to show the naked human body as a form of art. This is different from erotic photography, which has an erotic component, and totally different from pornography which only focuses on sexual arousal." - This is what Wikipedia says.
I partially agree because as a photographer I don't like classifications. I would put all the photos on my site into one gallery as for me it is only the aesthetic beauty that matters.
All the names, terms and classifications are not the subject of photography.
I have added this gallery because many people asked me if I shoot for magazines, adult, porn ... Yes, I shoot for erotic magazines but I don't shoot porn. What about adult? If Penthouse, Mayfare ... are adult, then yes.
Different medias have different requirements. Some require full nudity - no clothes at all, another may consider a naked shoulder to be nudity...
That's why I always talk to my models and clients before the photo session to understand what they need exactly. My clients are private persons, online and paper magazines, escort and private clubs. It does not matter who you are, I'll be happy to cooperate!
